The first feature I’ll talk about is its compactness. When you fold DJI mini 2, its total size easily fits the palm of your hand! It’s that compact. And it weighs just under a quarter of a kilogram, at 249g. This drone is your ideal travel companion, as you don’t have to worry about how it’ll fit in your baggage.
Compact but powerful
You may be tempted to believe a drone of this compactness would sacrifice performance to achieve compactness. DJI mini, however, successfully achieved the combination of compactness and performance. It can take off at a maximum altitude of 4000 metres and can withstand level 5 winds. So you still get stable and quality footage irrespective of wind speed or altitude. And it can stay in flight for over 30 minutes.
Top quality images
DJI mini 2 doesn’t just rate exceptionally in mechanical performance; it also delivers excellent photographic output. This is thanks to its 12mp camera with 4x digital zoom. It delivers quality content even at high altitudes, and with its zoom, you don’t have to keep adjusting altitudes to get the perfect pictures.
You also get to choose from different photo options like Single Shot, Interval, Panorama, and AEB Triple Shot. The panorama option is one of DJI mini’s intelligent modes, and it offers both Wide-Angle (180°) and Sphere (360°) panoramas. Just select which option you want, and the drone will do the rest almost instantly.
Smooth videos
DJI mini 2 also delivers high-quality 4k/30fps videos. And thanks to its 3-axis motorized gimbal, Mini 2 delivers stunning videos with consistent smoothness irrespective of the instability of the piloting. So you always get professional-looking content. The DJI Fly app also provides intelligent, built-in photo optimization. It automatically enhances image quality after downloading a photo, resulting in vivid colours and details that pop.
Distance doesn’t disrupt transmission
The Ocusync 2.0 video transmission feature on mini 2 offers you smooth transmission of HD videos from a maximum distance of 10 kilometres. This feature allows the drone to switch between two frequencies automatically to guarantee short and long-range transmission. The result is you can fly farther and see clearer.
DJI Fly app offers you more
DJI Fly app provides various features that allow you to optimize your mini 2. Once your drone gets close to your phone, the app automatically recognizes and connects to the aircraft and synchronizes selected photos and videos at 20 MB/s. It also enhances the quality of your pictures and allows you to add filters and soundtracks.
The trimmed download feature allows you to cut out a segment of your footage to edit and download. So you don’t have to worry about insufficient storage preventing you from saving those beautiful videos.
